With $5 million in cash prizes, including a top award of $1 million, six $500,000 awards and four $250,000 awards, 43North is setting out to turn the best new business ideas from around the globe into reality.

Winners also receive free incubator space for a year, guidance from mentors related to their field and access to other exciting incentive programs. 43North is open to applicants in any industry, with the exception of retail and hospitality. Winners agree to operate their business in the Buffalo, New York for a minimum of one year and provide 43North with 5% non-dilutive equity in their company.

Launch NY

Launch NY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit venture development organization. Our mission is to identify, support and invest in high-growth, high-impact companies and catalyze the entrepreneurial culture of Upstate New York through regional collaboration with ecosystem partners. We collaborate with organizations whose purpose is to assist entrepreneurs and encourage entrepreneurship. The New York State Small Business Development Center (New York SBDC) - the premier business assistance organization in New York State - provides expert management and technical assistance to start-up and existing businesses across the state. The New York SBDC is administered by State University of New York and funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of New York, and host campuses.

Entrepreneurial Assistance Program

The Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP) establishes Entrepreneurial Assistance Centers in local communities to provide instruction, training, technical assistance and support services to individuals who have recently started their own business or are interested in starting a business. The program’s 24 EAP centers are strategically located throughout New York State.
